Here at Dolls and Demons, the most important factor is that everyone has fun. Key words? Everyone and fun. It's nice to be able to let your imagination run free and wild when you roleplay, but for the enjoyment and sanity of others there are a few rules that should be upheld. Breaking these rules will result in two warnings, and then being banned from the site. It's important that everyone can feel like they are able to relax here, we don't want any troubles from within. (I mean, this isn't really Rossum you know.)
1. No God-Modding. You have come here and filled out an application for the character you have devised. Stick to said character. There are times when it is alright to say that another person's character 'turned their head' perhaps, or 'looked slightly shocked' but you cannot make another character act in a way that you specifically wish them to do. The other player will know in some respects how their characters act, don't try to push them to go against this. If you have a specific plot line or story in mind, then private message another player or use the plotting boards.
2. Leading on from this - show respect. Make sure to be kind and considerate to other players. This site is open to roleplayers of all levels - do not make fun or harass someone for not rp-ing at your standard or for slipping up. Kindly offer advice and comments. Every person deserves the same level of respect, so don't try and create fights and arguments with others.
3. If someone is getting on your nerves and you are having problems do not call this out in a roleplay. Wait a day, then contact the other player with the problem you have found. Wait because sometimes RL problems can slip into roleplay despite how hard we try to keep it out. It may just be something that goes away. If they do not reply to the message or try to incorporate your advice/stop the problem, contact a member of staff.
4. Mature themes may occur in this site. They are not necessary or required, but most characters here will be of legal age and therefore... things can happen. Triggers and smut must be labelled as such and your character should not only participate in this kind of roleplay. Any ships are permitted here, though remember that you're character's 'quest' is not to hook up with everyone.
1. When registering, make sure your username is not deanwin123. Try to make it the first or last name of the character you have decided upon. If this is not possible (if you haven't yet decided which character you would like) then use your name/alias you'd like to be known as ooc.
2. Make sure to read the canon list and the face claims. OOC's are allowed and welcomed with open arms, but as most characters will be canon try to keep to the orginal actress/actor used to save any confusion.
3. Fill out the application form - which shouldn't take long, it's only the basics - and wait patiently for it to be evaluated. It should be fairly quick for a response to come through - but the staff cannot be here 24/7.
1. Once your application is approved, make sure to post in the canon list and face claim list. This is just to ensure that the lists will be changed and people won't try to reapply for your character.
2. Have a look over any plot pages that are up and (optional) post one yourself. This isn't necessary, but as private messaging can get muddled and it may take a while for some people to reply it's just easier for a plot page to be used.
