Emma has supernatural strength - with the power to fling grown men about. It's a little hard for her to control, and she is no where near as strong as the elder Amazonians. She also had the ability to mature incredibly quickly - growing from a baby to a teenager in around 2 days.

Her training as an Amazonian has toughened her up somewhat. She has little sense of right and wrong, only what should be done. Emma cares little for hurting others if it means the best thing happens in the end - though she is starting to become a little confused when it comes to her training and whether her family really did wish the best for her or just wanted to push her into their life-style. She can be pretty snappish and sarcastic.
But underneath all that she's still just 16 (a few weeks old) and is adjusting to teenage life. She gets confused and lost a lot, though she's smarter and more mature than most her age. Her obvious strength makes her a little wary around others because she still has control issues.
Overall she won't take to new people well, and does have trust issues. There's always a teeny feeling of guilt creeping in over what she tried to do to her father and of her eating habits before this new job.

Emma has not been around for long, for Amazonians mature incredibly quickly. The child of Lydia and Dean, she aged from a baby to a teenager in two days. On her first day she was already communicating with her mother through speech whilst in her crib.
When she reached around 6 years old she was sent away for her initiation into the tribe. Amazonians have a lot of traditions and tests to be passed. She was made to drink milk and eat human flesh with it - though over time she was led to believe that this was a must and that it would make her much, much stronger. But she was not allowed to be welcomed in unless she killed her father.
Tracing him down, she convinced Dean that she wanted out of the way of life they were forcing on her - now while this wasn't exactly true, she did not like the life that she was going to have to lead, but Emma did wish for the tribes praise. However, her sneak attack on Dean did not work and her uncle, Sam, managed to shoot her in the chest. Whilst the brothers left, Emma was found and given quick emergency medical help - with Dick Roman supplying the money.
After coming around, with her aging now slowed to normal because of the shot, Emma was given the option to work for Dick or to die as she should have. Quickly, Emma agreed to the terms and was sent off to the D.C. Dollhouse to work as an extra assistant to Bennett Halverson and to provide security for her should she be 'kidnapped' again.
